In Bapaume Post Military Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 20/162 Private Thomas Dobson Blackburn, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 01/07/1916.

Soldiers Died in the Great War states that he was born in Scotswood and enlisted in Newcastle.

He is remembered in Gateshead on G39.004 page 23 and G39.025
