William Rowcroft
8th Battalion, East Yorkshire Regiment
Living in Cornforth Lane and working as a baker, Williamembarked for France on 9th September 1915. William was to be pitched straight into the Battle of Loos. He was killed in action on 26 September 1915. William has no known grave and is commemorated on the Loos Memorial in France.
