In Tezze British Cemetery, Italy, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 15959 Serjeant John William O'Hara, M.M., serving with the 12th Battalion Durham Light Infantry who died 27/10/1918.

Son of Isabell and William O'Hara of Spennymoor, Co Durham.

In Spennymoor (Tudhoe) Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:-

who died 29 August 1934
aged 62 years
Also William
husband of the above
who died 24 Jan. 1946
aged 73 years
Also their son John William killed in action
in Italy 27 October 1918 aged 24 years
