Son of Mrs. Mary Ann Tyman, of 21, Front St., Stanley; husband of Beatrice Tyman, of 105, Newburn Rd., Shield Row, Stanley, Co. Durham.

In Stanley New Cemetery is a headstone which reads:-

beloved wife of
John Gilmore East Stanley
who died June 2nd 1931
Aged 80 years
Also Margaret dearly loved
and only daughter of the above
who died June 7th 1934
Aged 61 years
John beloved husband of the above
Mary A. Gilmore
died May 13th 1936 aged 77 years
Also Pte. Harry Tyman
son of the above killed in action
July 23rd 1918 aged 30 years
Mary Ann Tyman
died March 19th 1988 aged 85 years
John Gilmore Tyman
died march 14th 1991 aged 85 years
