In Tincourt New British Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 19/165 Private William Dent, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 04/07/1917.

A page in the Book of Honour in St. Bartholomew's Church, Newbiggin-by-the-Sea states that he was born in 1891 in Willington, Northumberland. He moved with his parents William and Ann Dent to 10 Emmerson Road, Newbiggin-by-the-Sea.
