The son of Ralph and Mary Henderson, of Scotland and the husband of Mary Henderson, of 278, Soudan Avenue, Toronto, Ontario.

George was born in Berwickshire, Scotland the son of Ralph and Mary. He was the husband of Mary (nee Davies), whom he married on 4th January 1890 at St Georges Church, Newcastle upon Tyne. Mary was living at 43 Dupont Street, Toronto, Canada when George died.

George enlisted on 26th February 1917 and served with the 1st Company, Inland Waterway & Docks Unit. He was formerly (271880, Sapper). He had a couple of spells in hospital in early/mid 1917 before being admitted to Sandwich Military Hospital on 6th January 1919.

George died in Sandwich Military Hospital after suffering from Ostietis of the frontal bone and meningitis. Under Kings Regulation XVI; his mother and brother were present when he passed away. They took the decision to have him interred in Elswick, where they gave an address of 28 Lord Street as a residence, as his wife lived overseas.
