Memorial Description:

Plaque.

A central marble slab is inside an ornamental surround, mounted on wood panel on wall.

The stone surround has a classical design with a gable top, and measures 59 inches high x 35 inches wide (150cms x 89cms).

The details of the erection of the monument are on a flat surface beneath the gable top, in sans serif capital letters which have been placed on and painted black.

The central panel is a plain rectangle, 27 inches high x 15½ inches wide (69cms x 39cms), with the names listed in a single column.

The lettering is in Roman upper and lower case, with the title in sans serif capitals.

Names:

a. 15 full names.
b. 3 full names.
See transcript.

Notes:

1. It would seem that the whole central plaque for 1914-18 was removed and replaced with one covering 1939-45 as well. There is no join, the plaque is integral.

2. Following the closure of the club, this was in the library for a while, then went missing. It was found and relocated in the sports ground area in 2015.
