in grateful remembrance of the
gallant men of this church who fought
and suffered for liberty, truth and honour
and
in loving memory of
those who laid down their lives in
our righteous cause
whose names are given below.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man
lay down his life for his friends. St. John 15 ver.13.

Plaque 29 inches high x 21 inches wide (74cms x 53cms) with a rounded centre top.

It is set on a pattress of oak which is 2 inches wider (5cms) all round.

Around the edge is a patterned design of foliage

The words “Lest We Forget” are at the top, enamelled in red.

The names are listed in two columns.

Lettering is a mixture of fonts.
