Memorial Description: Stained glass window of four lights, all identical, depicting the Burning Bush.
The one remaining in St. Cuthbert’s Church indicates that there were four arched windows, at the top of which was a roundel, depicting the burning bush, with the motto “Nec tamen consumebatur” (“But it was not consumed”).
A plaque 12 inches high x 16 inches wide (30cms x 43cms) bears the names.
It is of brown metal, there is a single line border.
The names are listed in two columns divided by a vertical line.
Lettering is incised and whitened in Roman upper case throughout.
Beneath this – in St. Cuthbert’s church – is a brass plaque 8 inches high x 10 inches wide (20cms x 25cms) giving details of the transfer to St. Cuthbert’s.
