Obelisk 16 feet high (4.9m) on a square pedestal on three steps 48 inches square (122cms) at the base.

On the tapering shaft is a laurel wreath carved in half relief.

A raised shield is in the centre of the top of the pedestal.

The names for 1914-18 appear on the front, listed in two columns, those for 1939-45 are on the back.

All lettering is incised and blackened using sans serif capitals.

1. One report says that a Garden of Remembrance was placed near the memorial in 1947. It is not clear whether this is a war memorial for 1939-45.

2. One of the names on this Memorial is incorrectly spelt, R.E.M. Pettler is actually E.M. Pettler
