Calvary with gabled top.

Wooden cross 15 feet high (4.6m) with upright 6 inches square (15cms)  with painted crucified figure.

It is fixed onto a pedestal by six steel plates.

The pedestal is 36 inches cubed (91cms) and has carved and chamfered sides. It rests on two steps, the upper one being 84 inches square and six inches deep (213cms x 15cms), the lower being 108 inches square and six inches deep (274cms x 15cms).

The dedication is incised into the front of the pedestal below an incised cross using sans serif capitals throughout.

1. The original intention was to have a stone Catholic cross facing the east, but the land on which it was to stand had been undermined. It was decided therefore to have a wooden cross.

2. Due to the location of the memorial between some trees it is in poor condition mainly due to sap erosion from the trees. The memorial was cleaned c 2000 and then c2018.
