Cross of Celtic type in rough stone.

Its total height is 9 feet 6 inches (2.9m), on a tapering shaft on tapering pedestal.

A sword is raised in half relief at the front, almost the length of the cross itself.

The whole stands on a platform approached by five steps from the church path.

The dedication is carried on the polished front of the pedestal with the names in two columns.

Those for 1939-45 are on the side with the names listed in a single column.

Lettering is raised.
