Memorial Description:

Plaque, 48 inches high x 30 inches wide (121cms x 76cms) on a wood pattress.

There is a wide border pattern of thistles and leaves, raised in casting with the background enamelled black.

Inside this, passion flowers at top right and left fill the corners, leaving the main panel with a rounded top.

At centre top is a highly ornamental cross enamelled in red.

Part of the dedication is in archaic script, the quotation at the bottom is in Gothic script.

The names are listed in a single column using Roman capitals.

These memorial plaques were
relocated here after the closure of
Felton United Reformed Church, West
Thirston, on January 10th 2016.
They record both those from the
West Thirston Congregation who
fought in the Great War (1914-
1918) and those who gave their
lives.
