The following parishioners of St. Aidan’s Parish and Old Boys of St. Aidan’s School lost their lives in the Great War
May their souls rest in peace.

There is a cross at centre top. with the words “Lest we forget” in Gothic below.

Below this is the quotation from St. John’s Gospel in serif italics.

The names are listed in three columns using serif lower case.

1. Mr. Murphy has asked the Parish priest, Father Ian Jackson, to raise two matters with the Parish Council
(a) the whereabouts of the original plaque and
(b) the restoration of the plaque in the church, when found.

2. The book by Mr. Kirkup  gives Tom Healey instead of Healy and Tom Miller as Millar. Confirmation of the correct names would be appreciated.
