On Chatham Naval Memorial is the name of Skipper George Robert Norvell, serving on H.M. Trawler Speeton with the Royal Naval Reserve, who died 31/12/1915.

The son of John George and Sarah Norvell, of North Shields and the husband of Annie Norvell, of 20, Donkin Terrace, North Shields.
