He was the son of George And Mary Farquharson and the husband of Mary Farquharson (nee Green), of 26, Robert Street, Crofton, Blyth, Northumberland. He was born at Dundee.

George Farquharson is remembered at Blyth on B42.16  and B42.24, in the Mercantile Marine  Roll of Honour 1917  and in our List of Ships’ Crews.
