On Tower Hill Memorial is the name of Fireman Henry Archbold Wilson, serving on S.S. Marquette (West Hartlepool) with the Mercantile Marine who died 23/10/1915.

The son of Hannah Wilson, of Prudhoe Court, Alnwick, Northumberland, and the late John Wilson. He was born at Chatham.

Henry Archbold Wilson was born about 1877, at Chatton, Northumberland, the son of Hannah Wilson, of Prudhoe Court, Alnwick, Northumberland, and the late John Wilson.

SS Marquette was a British troopship of 7,057 tons which was torpedoed and sunk in the Aegean Sea thirty-six nautical miles (67 kms) south of Salonika, Greece by the German submarine U-35, with the loss of 167 lives.

The ship was originally planned as the SS Boadicea for the Wilson and Furness-Leyland Line, but was acquired by the Atlantic Transport Line shortly after completion to replace ships requisitioned during the Spanish–American War.  She made a single voyage under the name Boadicea, and was renamed Marquette on 15 September 1898.

Some records say Henry was born at Chatham Kent but a Henry Archbold Wilson was baptised November 5th 1876 at Chatton, Northumberland.
