The Newcastle Evening Chronicle 08/02/1945 reports:-
Body found in Tyne
The decomposed body a man was recovered from the Tyne Newcastle by the Rivet Police yesterday. Papers found the body bear the name Harold Haley, a ship’s fireman, aged 22 and mentions as next of kin his mother, Victoria Haley of Mannigham Yorks. Haley’s ship was in the Tyne in November.
