Gone but not forgotten.

Sidney Lowdon was born at Newcastle upon Tyne in the first quarter of 1899, the son of John and Sarah (nee Tinlin) of 231 Jefferson Street, Newcastle. Sidney served as a Boy Class I and II between May 1915 and January 1917, before he signed up for 12 years service on 29 January 1917 at Devonport. He died of pneumonia at Royal Naval Hospital, Edinburgh.
