On Tower Hill Memorial is the name of Third Engineer Joseph Harry Mallaby, serving on S.S. Cairndhu (Newcastle) with the Mercantile Marine who died 15/04/1917.

The son of the late Joseph Clough Mallaby and Mary Mallaby and the husband of Clara Sinnock Mallaby (nee Gardner), of 66, St. Bernard’s Road, Stockton on Tees. He was born at Thornaby on Tees.
