On Portsmouth Naval Memorial is the name of P/KX 78857 Petty Officer Stoker Francis Levi Myers, serving on H.M.S. Indomitable with the Royal Navy who died 16/07/1943.

The son of Winifred Myers, of Felling on Tyne, Co. Durham.

Heslop’s Local Advertiser 17/08/1946, 16/08/1947 and 14/08/1948 all carry a notice which reads:
Myers Felling, Petty Officer Frank Myers, killed by enemy action on H.M. Aircraft Carrier Indomitable, at Sicily, July 16th, 1943.

Francis Levi Myers is remembered at Felling on F32.10 and in our List of Ships’ Crews.
