In Seaford Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of Steward George Ternent, serving on S.S. Stanwold (London) with the Merchant Navy who died 27/02/1941.

The son of William and Frances Ternent, of Felling, Gateshead, Co. Durham.

Heslop’s Local Advertiser 13/03/1948 carries an In Memoriam notice which reads:
Ternent Felling, George, killed at sea, Feb. 28th, 1941.

George Ternent is remembered in our List of Ships’ Crews.
