On Tower Hill Memorial is the name of Apprentice James Percy Ellis, serving on S.S. Camellia (North Shields) with the Mercantile Marine who died 27/11/1917.

James was born at Percy Main, the son of James Ellis, of Victoria Hotel, Whitley Bay, Northumberland, and the late Eleanor Ellis.

James Percy Ellis is remembered at Tynemouth in T36.14, page 10, and on our List of Ships’ Crews.
