He was born at Scarborough, the son of Jane and the late Wilkinson Cappleman. He was the husband of Robina Cappleman, of 143, Church Street, North Shields.

Wilkinson Cappleman is remembered at North Shields on N34.22 and N34.77 and at Tynemouth in T36.14 page 6 and in our List of Ships’ Crews.
