On the Tower Hill Memorial is the name of First Engineman John Frederick Jamson, serving on Steam Trawler Ethelwulf (North Shields) with the Mercantile Marine who died 01/12/1918.

He was the son of Ann Jamson, of 43, Tyne Street, North Shields, and the late Charles Jamson and the husband of the late Margaret Jamson. He was born at North Shields.
