Fireman and Trimmer
S.S. “Dalewood”
20th August 1941 age 32

There were two ships named S.S. Dalewood. The first was sunk in the Great War. The vessel from 1939-45, on which Fireman Pickering served, was sold after the war.

The husband of Maud Ellen Pickering, of Blyth.

Samuel Watson Pickering is remembered at Blyth on B42.23 and in our List of Ships’ Crews.
