In Blyth (Cowpen) Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave with a private headstone of Cook John William Jaggs, serving on  S.S. Farnsum (Netherlands) with the Merchant Navy who died 26/2/1941.

The headstone reads:

John William Jaggs is remembered at Blyth on B42.23 and in our List of Ships’ Crews.
