Manfred Revell Ternent was the son of Albert A. E. Ternent and Alice Ternent, of Wylam.

H.M.S. Franklin was a minesweeper which continued deployment in home waters, including assistance during mine clearance operations as well as post war survey requirements. The ship remained in service until 1955 when paid-off and reduced to Reserve status.

Manfred Revell Ternent is remembered at Wylam on W73.02 and W73.06 and in our List of Ships’ Crews.
