Haggerty – In loving remembrance of our dear son, Fred Haggerty, of 130 Hawthorn Road, Ashington, killed in action June 5th, 1917. Interred in Northumberland British Cemetery, Arras.
We have stood by his grave in France,
With hearts both crushed and sore.
Yet through the gloom we seemed to hear his sweet voice say
‘Not lost to you, dear ones, but only gone a little while before.’
