The son of Dr. and Mrs. W. Jennings, of Jarrow, Co. Durham and the husband of Margaret Jennings, of Benton, Northumberland. He had obtained M.I.Mar.E.

He was the youngest brother of Herbert Lowther and Eric Kingsley Young Jennings who both died in WW1.
