On Tower Hill Memorial is the name of Third Engineer Officer Robert Donachie, serving on S.S. Pacific (Hull) with the Merchant Navy who died 09/02/1943.

The husband of Lily Donachie, of Southwick, Sunderland, Co. Durham.

Colin Boyd adds that Robert Donachie was born at Blyth. He lived with his wife Lilian at 33, Cornhill Road, Sunderland. He was aged 54 when he was serving on S.S. “Pacific” and was presumed drowned when the vessel went missing.
