In Maala Cemetery, Yemen is the Commonwealth War Grave of C/KX119565 Stoker 2nd Class William Davison serving on H.M.S. Dido with the Royal Navy who died 08/06/1941.

The son of George and Lizzie Davison, of Beamish, Durham, England.

William was born July 11th 1913. In 1939 the family were living at 57 Roseberry Street No Place. Father George born 1871 was the Caretaker of the Welfare Hall, mother Elizabeth was born 1875, brothers John born August 11th 1908 was a Colliery Waggonway man, Thomas born November 29th 1910 was a Colliery Hewer and William was a Colliery haulage man.

William Davison is remembered at West Pelton in  W112.03 and in our List of Ships’ Crews.
