The daughter of James W. Dawson and Jane Dawson, of Ashington. Her brothers, Leslie and William James Dawson, also died on service.

She is listed as ‘Died on Active Service’ in Casualty Communique No. 405, Flight Magazine, July 20th 1944, page 80. Her death was registered at Newcastle upon Tyne.

Dora Rhoda Dawson is remembered at Ashington on A17.01 (A17.27) and A17.43.

She is also remembered on a plaque at R.A.F. Elvington, York.
