There is no entry for him with the CWGC, however, his name is included on the memorial at St. Cuthbert’s Church, Satley, as Thomas Tobin.
His death came less than 5 weeks after that of his younger brother John whilst serving with the South Wales Borderers in France and the news of both their deaths must have come as a blow to their oldest brother James who was still serving at the front. James survived the conflict, his brother Edward was also old enough to serve, however no details have been found.
Annie Tobin nee Agnew died in 1941 aged 83 years registered Durham North Western.
In God’s safe keeping. Rest In Peace.
