Memorial Description

Roll of Honour set in wood frame. There is a wide border of oak leaves on a dark background. Half way up on both sides is a shield (left) showing the helmet of salvation and (right) the breastplate of righteousness. At the bottom is (left) the shield of faith; (right) the sword of the spirit and (centre) a girdle and winged shoes with the text “girt about with the preparation of truth and feet shod with the Gospel of peace”.
At the top the dedication is set in gilded Roman capitals onto a painted scroll with crosses between. The names are handwritten in three columns divided by single vertical lines inside a single line gilded inner border.
