Memorial Description

Roll of Honour, illuminated in full colour. At the top, a scroll bears the words “Roll of Honour” on each side of a picture and surmounted by a lion. Each end of the scroll is supported by a female figure. These figures in turn are seated at the top of a column which runs up each side, and is festooned with flags and shields. At the foot of each column is a figure of (left) a soldier and (right) a sailor. At centre bottom is an angel bearing a torch aloft, comforting a woman kneeling in front of her with a child in her lap.
The names are listed in three columns, The central column bears the names of those who were killed or died of wounds, the two outer ones of those who served.
