Memorial Description

Roll of Honour. It is drawn to represent an arch with fluted columns at the sides. In both the top right and left hand corners is a lady holding back a curtain. The arch is decorated with embossed flowers, while at centre top of the arch is a cartouche containing a picture of two biplanes. The words “Roll of Honour” are in an arch above a display of flags, with “Newfield” underneath. Along the bottom are more pictures – on the left is a gun; on the right is a ship, and in the centre, flanked by two soldiers resting on their arms, is a picture of charging horses. The names are listed in three columns, using elongated Roman capitals throughout.
