Our Blessed Lady Immaculate Roman Catholic Church, Village Lane.
Calvary with gabled top on tall square pedestal with sloping shoulders. A plaque is fixed to the front bearing the dedication prayer from the Mass for the Dead in Roman capitals. The first three lines are in Latin, followed by the English translation.
1. The original cross, 12 feet high (3.67m) was made of oak wood from Boldon but was vandalized.
