Memorial Description

Plaque with shallow pedimented top, on a pattress of the same shape. The quotation is in the top. The names are listed in three columns. The dedication is in elaborate capitals, the names are in sans serif capitals.

Materials used

White marble on brown marble pattress.

Inscription

Greater love hath no man than this, / that a man lay down his life for his friend.
To the praise and worship of God / and in memory of the gallant men of Whitburn / who fell in the Great War 1914-1919.
