Memorial Description

Cross, plain, ‘rustic’, on rough pedestal with two steps. The dedication is on a smoothed panel on the front of the pedestal, whilst those for 1939-45 are on the riser of the top step. The names are listed in two columns in each case. All lettering is in sans serif capitals.
The whole monument was in a grassed area with low brick wall surround with stone copings, pillars and chain on the sides facing the road. The brick wall has been replaced with plain fencing decorated with roundels from which a cross has been cut out at centre.
On the gate posts is "Age shall not weary them" and "Nor the years condemn."

2. Col. Ritson stated that 73 men from Ludworth had joined HM Forces.
