Who commissioned

Mrs. Roberts of Hollingside

Sculptor, Artist or Designer

C. E. Kemper & Co Ltd. London.

1. Capt. Roberts was the father, the other two his sons. It would seem that the father died towards the end of the war knowing two sons had been killed.

2. Below the window there is a brass plaque dedicated to Annie Chipchase Roberts who died in 1924.

3. It would appear that the window was unveiled before the Faculty was issued.

4. The window appears to read "Frederick I. Roberts" but this should be "Frederick J." Look at the word June which appears to be spelled "Iune".
CWGC entry is for "Frederick John".

5. Both sons are remembered on D47.125
