Unveiled ?November 1921 by Rev. C. Taylor, Scotswood.

Memorial Description

Plaque, on wood pattress, total size 60cm high x 76cm wide. The top edge has a very shallow domed top. At centre top of the plaque is an enamelled shield of white Maltese cross with a helmeted inward-facing head in each quarter, also in white, on a dark blue background. On either side is a pattern of grapes and vine leaves raised in half relief.
The names are listed in two columns underneath the dedication, all lettering is in raised Roman capitals, on a pecked background.
Beneath is a smaller brass plaque 6cm high x 15cm wide giving the history of the plaque.

This memorial / was removed from the / Hill Street Church / A.D. 1938

Names

Notes

1. Until the re-union of the three strands of Methodism in 1932 the Princes Street Church had been used by the Wesleyan Methodists. The United Methodists had worshipped in Hill Street until that church was closed in 1938, and the Primitive Methodists had worshipped in the Market Place Church until it closed in 1985.
