Memorial Description

Statue of soldier leaning on reversed rifle with head bowed. He stands on a large pedestal which has a rounded pillar at each corner with decorated capitals. At the top of the sides of the pedestal is a laurel wreath carved in three quarters relief.
The inscriptions are in sunken on the sides and front of the pedestal, between the pillars, below the name of the place : Billy Row; Grahamsley; Roddymoor and Whitelea.
The names for 1939-45 are below those for 1914-18 under the place name. Quotations are on panels below. Lettering is incised using sans serif capitals coloured brown throughout.

God made trial of them / and found them worthy of Himself.
