Memorial Description:

Stone book leaning opened at the foot of the cross.

The dedication is carved along the top of the two pages.

The names are carried in a single column on each page.

All lettering is carved, the dedication in lower case Roman lettering, the names in upper case.

8 surnames and initials.

Notes:

1. In 2014 when the War Memorial Cross was refurbished the names from World War 2 were re- cut and the “book” cleaned.

2. The War Memorial was rededicated Thursday July 10th 2014 by the Bishop of Jarrow, Mark Bryant.
