Names

Notes

1. "Unfortunately no official Roll of Honour was ever assembled nor do any records exist of the grievous wounds or gassings sustained, of the years spent in prison camps or of the honours and awards earned on many battle fronts. The material has been collected from many sources to provide a record, however inadequate, to remind us of yet another debt we owe our predecessors. We deeply regret the probable omissions or inaccuracies." Chapter Seven The Club at War, To Ashbrooke and Beyond

2. "During the War the ground was put to continuous use, in part by garrison troops including South Staffordshires, Sherwood Foresters and East Yorkshires and in part by youth organisations."Chapter Seven The Club at War, To Ashbrooke and Beyond
