Plaque. There is a single line border. The badge of the Anti-Tank regiment is in colour and has the dates on each side. Lettering is a blend of cursive and italic Roman.

1939-1945
Recruited from Sunderland men and known as “Sunderland’s Own”.
After the fall of Singapore endured three and a half years in captivity
One hundred and ninety eight did not return.

Every day, every month, not just in November”.
