Unveiled November 1928 by Col. G.H. Stobart, C.B.E., D.S.O., Colonel Commandant of the 151st Durham Brigade; dedicated by Rev. J. Booth, Rector of Jarrow, and chaplain to the Forces.
Memorial Description
Plaque with dome at centre top and a raised border. Up each side is a raised design of leaves At centre top is the royal badge. The inscription is in Roman capitals.
The dedication for 1939-45 is carried along the bottom bottom.

1. When the REs left Drill Hall in Jarrow the plaque was taken to Elmgrove Terrace, Gateshead. When REs left there it was moved to RE TA Centre at Debdon Gardens where it currently hangs on wall of a stair case.
2. With TA changes 72 Regiment RE has been reformed with a HQ Sqdn back at Gateshead.
