Memorial Description

Roll of Honour behind glass in a frame 12˝ inches high x 9˝ wide. The page is pre-printed with a the national badge with the union flag and the English flag on either side. Below is a scroll bearing the words “The Men of our Parish”, with a prayer below. The names are inside a single line border. The names are handwritten in two columns in capitals throughout, between parallel lines.

Sculptor, Artist or Designer

Possibly G.H. Richardson. See Note 2 below.

Notes

1. At the bottom is printed what is thought to be “Copyright Home Works”.

2. The similarity in design to the Book of Remembrance suggest that this was done by the same man.

3. Such documents were often displayed on the inside of Church doors and were used as a focus of prayer.
