The son of Rachel Liddell, of Battlefield, Newcastle upon Tyne.

HMS Royal Oak was a battleship of 29150 tons which was sunk by torpedo in Scapa Flow, Orkney.

Robert Liddell is remembered at Newcastle on NUT039 and in our List of Ships’ Crews.
