1. From the club membership of 543, 139 had served with His Majesty’s Forces.
2. Of the fallen, six had left widows and children.
3. Mr J. W. Ditchburn, schoolmaster at the Browney School, said there were many names on the roll of honour of those who were old boys of his and he had affectionate regard for them.
